Edward Lee "Ed" Montgomery (born February 1, 1952) is an American author, speaker, and musician. He is known for his gospel music, inspiring books, and for being the founder and pastor of Abundant Life Center For Dynamic Living in Houston, Texas.
Ed Montgomery began his music journey in 2000. He released his first album, Show Me the Money, through his own record label, Ablife Records. Later that year, his album I Still Believe became popular, appearing on two important Billboard music charts: Gospel Albums and Independent Albums. His 2002 album, Total Live Experience, also did very well, charting on the Gospel Albums, Independent Albums, and Heatseekers Albums charts.
Besides music, Ed Montgomery has written several books. These include Heaven in Your Heart: And in Your Pocket Too, Breaking the Spirit of Poverty, and When Heaven Is Silent. These books share his ideas and teachings.

Edward Lee Montgomery was born in Cleveland, Ohio, on February 1, 1952. He was raised by his grandmother, Iola Freeman. She took him to Temple Baptist Church, where he learned to play the piano. This is where his musical talent first began to shine.
Ed Montgomery's Music Career
Ed Montgomery's music career officially started in 2000. His first album, Show Me the Money, was released on January 4, 2000, through his own label, Ablife Records.
Later that year, on November 20, 2000, he released I Still Believe. This album was a big success! It reached number 11 on the Billboard Gospel Albums chart and number 41 on the Independent Albums chart.
His next album, Total Live Experience, came out on July 23, 2002. This album was even more popular. It climbed to number 7 on the Gospel Albums chart and number 22 on the Independent Albums chart. It also appeared on the Heatseekers Albums chart at number 34. All his albums were released through his own label, Ablife Records.
Ed Montgomery's Family Life
Ed Montgomery is married to Dr. Saundra Elaine Montgomery. She is also from Cleveland. They live in Houston, Texas, where they lead the Abundant Life Center, also known as Abundant Life Cathedral.
They have three children together. Their two sons are named Edward Lee Montgomery II and Simeon Raphael Montgomery. They also had a daughter, Angela Renee Montgomery, who sadly passed away from cancer when she was 14 years old.
