Eduard Nikolayevich Mudrik (Russian: Эдуард Николаевич Мудрик; July 18, 1939 – March 27, 2017) was a talented Soviet footballer. He played as a defender, which means his main job was to stop the opposing team from scoring goals. He was born in Starobilsk and passed away in Moscow.

Eduard Mudrik started his football journey in his youth. He played for a team called Vympel Kaliningrad. Later, he joined one of the biggest clubs in the Soviet Union, FC Dynamo Moscow.

He played for FC Dynamo Moscow for many years, from 1959 to 1968. During his time there, he played in 172 games. He also managed to score 5 goals, which is quite good for a defender!

Mudrik also had the honor of playing for his country. He was part of the USSR national football team. He played 8 games for the national team between 1963 and 1964. In these games, he scored 1 goal.

He was also part of the team that played in the 1964 European Nations' Cup. This was a big international tournament where countries competed against each other.
