Eduard Schlagintweit (born March 23, 1831 – died 1866) was a German writer and historian. He was the third of five famous brothers from Munich, Germany, known as the Schlagintweit brothers. This family was well-known for their contributions to science and exploration.

Eduard Schlagintweit was a talented writer. He is best known for writing about the Spanish-Moroccan War. This conflict took place between 1859 and 1860. It was fought between Spain and Morocco.
His detailed account helped people understand the events of this war. Eduard passed away in 1866.
