Eduardo Marquina Angulo (born January 21, 1879 – died November 21, 1946) was a famous Spanish writer. He was known for writing plays for the theater and also beautiful poems. He was part of a special art movement called Catalan Modernism.
One of his most famous plays was En Flandes se ha puesto el Sol (which means The Sun Has Set in Flanders). This play won an award from the Royal Spanish Academy for being a great historical drama. Eduardo Marquina also wrote the words for the Spanish national anthem, called Marcha Real. These words were used when King Alfonso XII was ruling Spain.
