Eduardo Víctor Haedo (born in Mercedes, Soriano, Uruguay on July 28, 1901 – died November 15, 1970) was an important political leader from Uruguay. He was a key member of the National Party.

Haedo served as the Minister of Education from 1936 to 1938. He worked under President Gabriel Terra during this time. As Education Minister, he helped guide the country's schools and learning programs.

Leading the National Council of Government

One of Haedo's most important roles was being the President of the National Council of Government. This council was a group of leaders who governed Uruguay together.

Serving as President

Eduardo Víctor Haedo was the President of the National Council of Government from 1961 to 1962. He took over this important job from another member of his party, Benito Nardone. This role was similar to being the head of the country.

After His Presidency

After his term ended in 1962, Faustino Harrison became the next President of the National Council of Government. Harrison was also from the National Party. Eduardo Víctor Haedo continued to be an influential figure in Uruguayan politics until his death in 1970.
