History
Edward C. Elliott was a member of the faculty of what would become the University of Wisconsin–Madison. He was later Chancellor of a precursor of the Montana University System and President of Purdue University. The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1978 and on the State Register of Historic Places in 1989.
