Elena Deza studied mathematics at Moscow State Pedagogical University. She earned her first math degree in 1983. Later, in 1993, she completed her doctorate degree in math and physics. This means she became an expert in these subjects. In 1995, she also received a special certificate in number theory.

Her Teaching Career

From 1983 to 1988, Elena Deza taught math at Moscow State Forest University. After that, she moved to Moscow State Pedagogical University. She started as a lecturer there in 1993. Over the years, she continued to teach and research. By 2006, she became a full professor, which is a very high teaching position at a university.
