Elena Laumenskienė (born July 16, 1880 – died March 24, 1960) was a talented Lithuanian musician. She was a composer, a music teacher, and a pianist. She sometimes used the name Elena Stanekaite-Laumyanskene for her music.
Elena was born in a town called Radviliškis, in Lithuania. She loved music from a young age. She went to the famous Moscow Conservatory to study music. She learned from great teachers there, like Alexander Scriabin. She finished her studies in 1907. Later, she married a man named Laumenskis.

A Life in Music Education
Elena Laumenskienė spent many years teaching music. She taught piano lessons in both Vilnius and Moscow. She wanted to help young musicians learn and grow.
Founding a Music School
In 1930, Elena had a big idea. She decided to create a new music school in Kaunas, Lithuania. This school was called the Lithuanian National Conservatory. She was in charge of the school for ten years. It became a very important place for music students.
Teaching and Performing
After her time at the Conservatory, Elena continued teaching. In 1940, she started teaching at the Vilnius Conservatory. She also performed many piano concerts. She played her music for audiences in Kaunas, Moscow, and Vilnius. Her beautiful compositions were even recorded by a music company called Melodija. Elena Laumenskienė passed away in Vilnius in 1960.
