Elizabeth Lincoln Gould (died December 11, 1914) was an American writer. She wrote many books for children. She also created plays based on famous novels.
Elizabeth grew up in Boston, Massachusetts. Her father worked with books, as a publisher and bookseller. Many different versions of her books were printed over the years. Besides writing stories, she also wrote words for songs.
One of her books, Cap'n Gid, tells the story of an old ship's captain. He leaves his quiet country home. He moves to the city to find new adventures.
