Elizabeth 'Liz' L. Thomson, born in 1960 or 1961, is an American politician. She is a member of the Democratic Party. Since January 15, 2013, she has represented District 24 in the New Mexico House of Representatives.

Working as a Physical Therapist
For most of her career, Liz Thomson has worked as a pediatric physical therapist. This means she helps children with their movement and physical abilities. She has also been on the board of directors for the New Mexico chapter of the American Physical Therapy Association. This group supports physical therapists.
Joining the New Mexico Legislature
In 2012, Liz Thomson decided to run for a seat in the New Mexico House of Representatives. She ran against the Republican representative, Conrad James. She won the election by a small number of votes. She has been a representative for District 24 since then.

Improving Public Health
