Emanuel Ortega is a pop singer from Argentina. He is the son of another famous Argentine pop singer, Ramón "Palito" Ortega. Growing up, Emanuel was always around music. His dad, Ramón Ortega, was a big Latin pop star. When Emanuel was just six years old, his family moved to Miami in the United States. His musical talent really started to show in 1989. This was when he recorded a song called Para Siempre Amigos (which means "Friends Forever").
After living in the United States for two years, Emanuel decided to move back to Argentina. Once there, he started his own music group. The band was called Ladrones De Ladrones.

First Album Success
In 1993, Emanuel Ortega released his very first music album. It was titled Conociendonos, which means "Getting to Know Each Other". This album became popular very quickly. It soon earned a "gold" record award. This means it sold a lot of copies! Later, it even reached "platinum" status in Argentina. This shows it sold even more copies.
Working in the United States
In 1995, Emanuel went back to the United States. There, he worked with a music producer named Carlos Alvarez. A music producer helps artists create their songs and albums.
