History of Enyart
The area known as Enyart began to grow in the late 1800s. A post office was opened there in 1879. Post offices were very important back then for sending and receiving letters and packages, connecting people across distances. This post office served the community for many years before closing in 1904.
The community was named after an early settler in the area, a man named Abraham Enyart. It was common for new settlements to be named after important people who helped establish them.
