About Eulàlia Lledó
Eulàlia Lledó worked as a high school teacher in Barcelona for many years. She also works with different universities. She helps with groups that study how gender affects society and language. One of these groups is the Genet Network. It is part of the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC).
Her Work on Language and Fairness
Eulàlia is an expert in finding unfair ways of speaking. She looks at how language and literature might favor men over women. This is called sexist or androcentric bias.
She has created many guides and books about this topic. For example, in 1999, she wrote How to Treat Mistreatment Properly: Style Manual for the Media. This was the first guide in Spain to help news outlets talk about violence against women in a respectful way. She has also written books about coeducation. Working with Important Groups
