This building is a great example of a style called Classical Revival, which means it looks a bit like old Greek or Roman buildings. It was also one of the first apartment buildings in Springfield to be built after the city made new rules about fire safety. What Does the Evans Court Building Look Like?
The Evans Court Apartment Building is in the South End area of Springfield. It's a four-story building made of brick. The building is shaped like the letter "L".
The front of the building has three-story sections that stick out. These sections are on either side of the main entrance. Above these sections, you can see fancy decorations. The main entrance itself has concrete blocks on the sides. It also has curved supports holding up an arched top. Another entrance, decorated in a similar way, leads to the apartments in the back.
