Evergreen first appeared as a census-designated place in the 2010 U.S. Census. It was one of three new CDPs (Evergreen, Fronton Ranchettes, and Ramos) that were formed from the larger Roma Creek CDP.
In 2020, the population of Evergreen was 80 people. Most of the residents, about 92.5%, identified as Hispanic or Latino. A smaller number, about 5%, identified as White alone (not Hispanic), and 2.5% identified as Mixed Race or Multi-Racial (not Hispanic).
Education in Evergreen
Students in Evergreen attend schools that are part of the Roma Independent School District. The elementary school for the community, based on the 2010 Census, is Emma Vera Elementary School. For high school, students go to Roma High School, which is the only comprehensive high school in the district.
