Fabrizio Freda was born in Naples, Italy, on August 31, 1957. He went to the University of Naples Federico II and finished his studies there in March 1981.

His Career Journey

Fabrizio Freda became the president and CEO of The Estée Lauder Companies on July 1, 2009. He took over from William P. Lauder. Before that, he joined the company in March 2008 as president and chief operating officer. He worked at Estée Lauder until 2024, when he retired from his main role. After retiring, he became a special advisor to the company.

Before joining Estée Lauder, Freda worked at another big company called Procter & Gamble. He was the president of their Global Snacks division. He started at Procter & Gamble in 1982 and spent ten years working in their health and beauty sections.

He also spent two years at a fashion company called Gucci. There, he was the international director for marketing and strategy. He rejoined Procter & Gamble after Gucci was sold to a group of investors in 1988.
