Falco's Music Journey
Falco's big break came with his song "Der Kommissar." This song became a huge hit and reached top positions on music charts around the world. Robert Ponger produced this song and Falco's first two albums.
"Rock Me Amadeus" and Global Success
One of Falco's most famous songs is "Rock Me Amadeus." This song made history by being the only German-speaking song to reach number one on the music charts in the United States. This was a huge achievement for a non-English song. From 1985 to 1988, Falco worked with a Dutch production team called Bolland & Bolland. Together, they created three successful albums. His album "Falco 3" was especially popular, reaching number 3 on the US album charts.
In 1985, Falco had another number one hit with "Jeanny." The next year, in 1986, he had his fourth number one hit, "Coming Home (Jeanny Part 2)."
Later Career and Legacy
After these big successes, some of Falco's later albums, like "Data de Groove," did not become as popular. Robert Ponger produced "Data de Groove" as well. In 1988, Falco married Isabella Vitkovic, but they separated a year later in 1989. Both Robert Ponger and the Bolland & Bolland team produced all the albums that were released during Falco's lifetime. To keep his music fresh, Falco also recorded many techno songs and worked with different producers for his final album.
His successful album "Out of the Dark (Into the Light)" was released after Falco's death. He passed away in a road accident.
