Faron Anderson (born 14 February 1975) is an Australian former professional rugby league player. He played as a winger in the 1990s. Faron was one of the very first players for the North Queensland Cowboys team.
Faron Anderson's Rugby League Journey
Starting with the North Queensland Cowboys
Faron Anderson began his top-level rugby league career in 1995. He made his debut for the North Queensland Cowboys. This was a special moment for the team. It was their first ever win at home! The Cowboys beat the Western Suburbs Magpies by a score of 31 to 12. Faron played only three games for the Cowboys during his two seasons with the club.
Playing for Other Teams
After his time with the Cowboys, Faron joined other teams. In 1998, he started playing for the Burleigh Bears. This team competes in the Queensland Cup, which is a big rugby league competition in Queensland, Australia.
In 1999, Faron had a great moment with the Burleigh Bears. He played on the wing when his team won the Grand Final! They beat the Redcliffe Dolphins to become champions.
Later, in 2001, Faron moved to play for the Ipswich Jets. He played as a centre for them. In 2002, his team, the Ipswich Jets, reached the Grand Final. However, they lost to the Redcliffe Dolphins in that game.
Faron returned to the Burleigh Bears in 2003. He came off the bench in another Grand Final. This time, the Burleigh Bears lost to the Redcliffe Dolphins again.
