The Federal Ministry of Health and Social Welfare is a very important part of the Government of Nigeria. It helps make sure everyone in Nigeria stays healthy. This Ministry creates and carries out plans for health care across the country. It is led by two Ministers chosen by the President. They work with a Permanent Secretary, who is a long-time government worker. The current Minister of Health is Muhammad Ali Pate. The current Minister of State for Health is Tunji Alausa. Ms Daju Kachollom mni is the current Permanent Secretary.

Departments of the Ministry
The Ministry has many different departments. Each one focuses on a special part of health care in Nigeria.
Family Health Department
