About UFRB
When UFRB Started
The Federal University of Recôncavo da Bahia was officially created in 2005. This happened through a special law, Law 11.151. This law helped set up the university to serve students in the Recôncavo da Bahia region.
Growing Campuses
UFRB has grown since it first opened. In 2011, plans were announced for a new campus. This new campus was to be in the city of Feira de Santana. It began operating in early 2013. This expansion helped the university offer more courses. It also allowed more students to attend.
