Fifi Cooper's Music Journey

Starting Out: 2008–2014

Fifi Cooper began singing when she was only 8 years old. She loved taking part in school activities. Her professional music career started in 2008. She was a guest artist on Mo'Molemi's album, Motzamai: Rebel With a Pause.

Her big break came in 2010 with her song "Chechela Morago." This rap song was played a lot on the radio. It helped her become well-known in the South African music scene. Fifi Cooper also sang on other popular songs. These included a remix of AKA's "Baddest Remix." She also appeared on albums by Mo'Molemi, Khuli Chana, and Lection.

Making Her Mark: 2015–2019

In 2015, Fifi Cooper joined Ambitiouz Entertainment. This is a record label based in South Africa. Early that year, she released a song called "Kisses." The music video for "Kisses" came out in May 2015.

On November 13, 2015, Fifi Cooper released her first studio album, 20FIFI. This album was a huge success! It won three awards at the 15th Metro FM Music Awards. It was also nominated for "Best Newcomer of The Year" and "Best Female Artist of The Year" at the South African Music Awards.

New Beginnings: 2020-Present

After leaving Ambitiouz, Fifi Cooper started her own record label. She named it Mo Cooper Records. She then released her next album, "Take Me Back." This album has 21 songs, including "Freedom" and "Zwagala." It features other artists like Thabsie, Moozlie, Towdeemac, and Leon Lee.

In November 2020, Fifi Cooper released "Net So." This was the first song from her 2021 album, Chapters. She even wrote and directed the music video for "Net So" herself! In March 2021, her song "Motlogeleng" was released.

Fifi Cooper's Unique Style

People in the media often call Fifi Cooper the "Motswako first lady." This is because she is amazing at both rapping and singing. Her music often mixes hip hop and Motswako styles. She was also the singer on Khuli Chana's popular song "Mnatebawen." Fifi Cooper describes her rap style as "unpredictable, punchy and hearty." This means it's full of surprises, strong, and comes from the heart.
