Finesse Mitchell (born Alfred Langston Mitchell on June 12, 1972) is a well-known American actor, comedian, and author. He is famous for his funny stand-up comedy shows. From 2003 to 2006, Finesse was a cast member on the popular TV show Saturday Night Live. He has also been on many other TV shows like Showtime at the Apollo, BET's ComicView, Comedy Central Presents, and Disney Channel's A.N.T. Farm.

Early Life and Education
Finesse Mitchell was born in Atlanta, Georgia. He went to the University of Miami. While there, he was part of the university's football team. He was also a member of the Kappa Alpha Psi fraternity.
Finesse Mitchell's Career
Finesse Mitchell started his television career in 1999. His first appearance was on BET's Comic View. He quickly became a favorite on the show.
Early TV Appearances
After his success on Comic View, Mitchell moved to Los Angeles and New York City. He appeared on The Late Late Show with Craig Kilborn several times. He also made two appearances on Late Night with Conan O'Brien.
Time on Saturday Night Live
In 2003, Finesse Mitchell joined Saturday Night Live (SNL) as a featured player. After two seasons, in 2005, he became a full cast member. He left the show in September 2006.
After Saturday Night Live
After leaving SNL, Finesse Mitchell continued to perform stand-up comedy. He also appeared in several movies. These included Who's Your Caddy?, The Comebacks, and Mad Money.
From 2008 to 2009, Mitchell was a guest correspondent on The Today Show. He also appeared as a guest panelist on Tyra and Chelsea Lately. In 2010, he was in the Comedy Central sketch series Nick Swardson's Pretend Time.
Finesse Mitchell released a stand-up comedy DVD called Snap Famous. He also wrote a book in 2007 titled Your Girlfriends Only Know So Much. This book offers dating advice.
In 2012, he was on Fox's dating game show The Choice. Mitchell also played Darryl Parks on the Disney Channel sitcom A.N.T. Farm. His character was Chyna's police officer father.
In January 2015, he performed at Ron White’s Comedy Salute to the Troops. In 2016, he played Harvey in the Showtime series Roadies. He also had a role in the movie Barely Lethal.
On December 4, 2019, Mitchell was cast as a regular on the Fox comedy Outmatched. He played Irwin, who was the best friend of the main character, Mike. In 2022, he was a judge on the Netflix baking competition Is It Cake?.
Personal Life
Finesse Mitchell has been married twice. On September 13, 2008, he married Jessica Santos in Atlanta. They later divorced on May 20, 2011.
He married again in September 2013 to Adris DeBarge. She is the daughter of singer El DeBarge. Their first daughter was born in March 2015.
