Past Railway Connections

Long ago, Flaçà was part of another railway line. This was a smaller, 750mm gauge railway. It connected Palamós, Girona, and Banyoles. This line opened to Palamós in 1887. It reached Girona by 1921. This old railway helped people and goods move around the region. However, this service stopped in 1956.
