Flat Woods (also called Flatwoods or Flatwoods Junction) is a small community in Perry County, Tennessee, United States. It's an unincorporated community, which means it doesn't have its own local government like a city or town. Instead, it's managed by the county.

Flat Woods used to be known as Whitaker's Bluff. Its name changed to Flatwoods in 1871. You can find it along State Route 13, south of Linden. Linden is the main town and county seat for Perry County. Flat Woods is about 676 feet (206 meters) above sea level.

A Historic Home: The Bromley House

One special place in Flat Woods is the Dr. Richard Calvin Bromley House. It's also called the Bromley Hotel. This building is so important that it's listed on the National Register of Historic Places. This means it's recognized as a significant historical building in the United States.

The house was built between 1909 and 1911. It was the home and medical office of Dr. Richard Bromley. Later, the building was made bigger. It offered rooms for hunters and other people traveling through the area.
