A 2009 Ford Focus

The Ford Focus was a type of compact car. It was made by the Ford Motor Company. This car was popular in North America for many years.

The North American Ford Focus first came out in 1999. It was sold as a 2000 model year car. Over time, the Focus got new looks and updates.

  • In 2004, it received a "facelift." This means it got small design changes.
  • A new version came out in late 2007 for the 2008 model year.
  • Then, in early 2011, a big redesign happened. This version was the same as the one sold around the world.
  • The Ford Focus stopped being made in the U.S. after the 2018 model year.
