The Fort Worth Museum of Science and History is a fun and exciting place to explore in Fort Worth, Texas. You can find it in the city's Cultural District, a special area filled with museums and theaters.
The museum first opened way back in 1945 as the Fort Worth Children's Museum. It moved to its current spot in 1954 and got its current name in 1968. Inside, you can visit the Noble Planetarium to see the stars, watch amazing movies at the Omni Theater, and check out all kinds of cool exhibits about science and history.
In 2007, the museum closed to build a brand-new, modern building. It reopened in 2009 with 166,000 square feet of space to explore! The new building was designed by the famous architects Legorreta + Legorreta. They kept the popular Omni Theater and even designed the new museum around a special tree from the original courtyard. This tree now stands in an open area called the Heritage Courtyard.
