Life as a Priest and Scholar

In 1628, Francisco Bermúdez de Pedraza became a priest. He was appointed a canon of the cathedral of Granada. A canon is a special priest who is part of the cathedral's leadership. From 1635 until his death, he also served as the treasurer of the cathedral. This was a big responsibility, managing the cathedral's money. He also taught law at the University of Granada, sharing his knowledge with new students. He passed away when he was 70 years old.
