Juan Francisco Lombardo (born June 11, 1925 – died May 24, 2012) was a famous Argentine football player. He was a strong defender. Juan played for big teams like Boca Juniors and also for the Argentine national team 37 times.

Lombardo's Club Journey
Juan Lombardo began his football journey at Newell's Old Boys in Rosario. In 1952, he moved to Boca Juniors. He played 196 games for Boca, which is a lot! He scored one goal for them in a game against Club Atlético Platense. That game ended in a 2–2 tie.
In 1960, Lombardo left Boca Juniors. He joined River Plate, who were big rivals of Boca. He only played 9 games for River Plate before he stopped playing football that same year.
