Frank McAllister (April 29, 1918 – May 5, 1987) was a talented American baseball player. People called him "Chip". He was a pitcher in the Negro Leagues during the 1930s and 1940s. These leagues were for African American players when major league baseball was segregated.

Frank McAllister was born in Forrest City, Arkansas. He began his professional baseball career in 1937. His first team was the Pittsburgh Crawfords. This team was part of the Negro Leagues.
Playing in the Negro Leagues
After playing for the Crawfords, McAllister joined the Indianapolis ABCs in 1938. He quickly became a recognized player. That same year, he was chosen to play in the East–West All-Star Game. This was a special game that featured the best players from the Negro Leagues.
McAllister played for several teams during his career. He was with the St. Louis Stars and later the New York Black Yankees. His career in the Negro Leagues lasted until 1943.
Later Life
Frank McAllister passed away in Cairo, Illinois in 1987. He was 69 years old. His contributions to baseball are remembered as part of the rich history of the Negro Leagues.
