Frank Watkins (born February 19, 1968 – died October 18, 2015) was an American heavy metal musician. He was best known as the bass player for the death metal band Obituary. He played with them from 1989 to 1997, and again from 2003 to 2010. At the time of his death, he was the bass player for the Norwegian black metal band Gorgoroth. In Gorgoroth, he was known by his stage name, Bøddel.

About Frank Watkins
Frank Watkins was born in 1968. He started playing music when he was 12 years old. His professional music career began in 1986. In 1989, he joined the band Obituary. He played bass on almost all of Obituary's albums. He was with the band until 2010. The only album he did not play on was their first one, Slowly We Rot.
Beyond the Music: Business Side
Frank Watkins was not just a musician. He also cared a lot about the business side of music. He helped other bands and musicians. He guided them in their careers. In 2007, he started his own company. It was called Back From the Dead Productions. This company helped bands succeed in the music world.
Joining Gorgoroth
In late 2007, Frank became the bass player for Gorgoroth. This was a black metal band from Norway. In 2009, he helped record their album Quantos Possunt ad Satanitatem Trahunt. His first live show with Gorgoroth was in Bergen, Norway. This concert was part of the Hole in the Sky festival. It was the first time Gorgoroth had played live since 2007. Frank explained in an interview that he used the stage name "Bøddel" for Gorgoroth. This name means "Executioner" in Norwegian.
Frank Watkins died on October 18, 2015. He was 47 years old. He passed away from cancer.
