Frankfurt U-Bahn facts for kids
The Frankfurt U-Bahn is an underground train system in the city of Frankfurt in Germany. It's like a subway or metro that helps people travel around the city quickly. The company that runs it is called Verkehrsgesellschaft Frankfurt, or VGF for short.
The Frankfurt U-Bahn has 9 different lines. Its tracks stretch for about 65 kilometers (that's about 40 miles!). There are 86 stations in total. Some stations are deep underground (27 of them), while most (59) are above ground. Two of the lines, the U2 and the U3, even go outside the city limits to towns like Oberursel and Bad Homburg.
