Fraser Doherty facts for kids
Fraser Doherty (born in 1988) is a Scottish entrepreneur from Edinburgh. An entrepreneur is someone who starts and runs their own business. Fraser is famous for starting several successful companies. One of his most well-known companies is SuperJam, which makes delicious jams. He also helped start Beer52 and created Envelope Coffee. Fraser also helps run a charity called The SuperJam Tea Parties. This charity organizes fun tea parties for older people who might be feeling lonely.
Fraser Doherty's Books
Fraser Doherty has written several books to share his journey and help others. His first book, The SuperJam Cookbook, came out on 5 August 2010. This book is full of recipes for making tasty jams, cakes, and desserts. It was launched at a special vintage tea party in London.
On 21 April 2011, Fraser published his second book, SuperBusiness. This book is like a guide for young people who want to start their own business. It shares the story of how SuperJam grew from small village sales in Scotland to being sold in supermarkets all over the world.
His third book, 48-Hour Start-up: From idea to launch in 1 weekend, was released on 25 August 2016. In this book, he shows how it's possible to start a new business and make it profitable in just one weekend!
Awards and Recognition
Fraser Doherty has won many awards for his business skills and charity work. In 2007, he won the Global Student Entrepreneur of the Year award. This is a big international award given to the best student entrepreneur in the world. More than 750 students from many countries competed for this prize that year.
He was also given a special honor called the MBE (Member of the Order of the British Empire) in 2014. This award was for his great contributions to business.
