The Start of the Adventure
The story begins with Freddy the Pig having a brilliant idea. He wants to start a travel company called Barnyard Tours Inc. All the animals on the farm agree, and the company is quickly set up. Animals can pay for their tours with food or by helping out with chores for Mr. Bean.
Soon, however, Freddy and Jinx, the clever cat, get tired of leading the same old tours. Freddy then suggests a much more exciting trip: a journey all the way to the North Pole! So, Freddy, Jinx, and four other brave animals pack their bags and set off on their grand adventure.
A Worrying Wait
A whole year passes, and the animals left behind on the farm start to get very worried. Charles, the rooster, gives a fiery speech in the barnyard. This causes a big crowd of worried animals to gather. Just then, Ferdinand, a crow who was part of the North Pole expedition, flies back to the farm.
Ferdinand quickly organizes a rescue party. He explains that the expedition animals traveled on a ship. He also shares a scary detail: the sailors on the ship were planning to eat Freddy! Ferdinand also mentions that the sailors talked about trying to find Santa Claus's house.
The Rescue Party Grows
Later, as the rescue party travels through the vast woods of Canada, they meet new friends. Two children and a friendly bear decide to join their mission. However, a big problem soon comes up. Ferdinand realizes he forgot to bring enough food and warm clothes for everyone!
Things look pretty bad for a moment, and Ferdinand feels terrible. But then, he has a clever idea: a lecture tour! The animals living in the woods are very helpful. They bring food and clothing they've found, making sure the rescue party has what they need to continue their journey.
Trouble at Santa's Workshop
A few weeks later, Charles the rooster and Jack the dog wander away from the group. They are captured by a pack of wolves! Luckily, with the unexpected help of some tiny ants, Charles and Jack manage to scare the wolves away.
Finally, the rescue party arrives at Santa Claus's house. They are overjoyed to find Freddy there! But they also discover a new problem. The sailors from the ship are trying to change Santa Claus's special, unique workshop. They want to turn it into a regular, boring factory with an assembly line.
Saving Christmas
The animals try their best to make the sailors leave. They even pretend to be ghosts to scare them away! But one sailor isn't afraid at all. So, Freddy comes up with another plan. He sends the ship's captain, Mr. Hooker, a fake treasure map. Freddy hopes all the sailors will leave with the captain to find the treasure.
However, Captain Hooker tries to keep the map and the treasure all to himself. Freddy and Jinx chase after him and manage to get the map back. Later, the entire crew of the ship is shown the map. Believing it's real treasure, the sailors leave Santa's workshop to search for it.
With the sailors gone, Santa Claus's workshop returns to its magical, normal self. Santa Claus is very grateful. He uses his special sleigh to take all the animals and the two children safely back to the Bean Farm.
