Fredric Aasbø (born August 18, 1985) is an amazing professional drifter and stunt driver. He comes from a town called Siggerud in Norway. Fredric is famous for competing in the Formula Drift Championship.

He has won the Formula Drift championship three times! He took home the big prize in 2015, 2021, and 2022. Fredric also holds the record for the most wins in the series, with 20 victories. He has also finished as the runner-up (second place) many times. This happened in 2014, 2016, 2017, 2018, and 2019.

Fredric Aasbø started his drifting career as a private racer. He drove a Toyota Supra car. He won the Nordic Drifting Championship twice, in 2007 and 2008. These wins were in his home region of Scandinavia. After that, he came to the U.S. for the first time in 2008. He competed in a special drifting event.

In 2012, Fredric won the "Pro" category of the Toyota Pro/Celebrity Race. This showed off his driving skills even more.

Formula D Adventures

In 2010, Fredric competed in his first full season in the U.S. He was still a private racer. He did so well that he won the Formula Drift 'Rookie of the Year' award! This award is given to the best new driver.

In 2011, he joined the Papadakis Racing team. He took the place of driver Tanner Foust. From 2011 to 2016, Fredric drove a Scion tC car in the United States. He also drove a Toyota GT86 in Europe.

In 2014, Fredric won the Formula Drift Asia title. He also finished second in the U.S. Formula Drift Pro Championship.

Winning the Championship

Fredric won his first Formula Drift Pro Championship in 2015. He had an amazing season, winning four out of seven rounds. He also won the Formula Drift World Championship that year. He was driving the Papadakis Racing Scion tC. In 2015, he also received a special award. He was named FIA's Driver of the Year for Norway. He even got the award from Norwegian World Rally Champion Petter Solberg.

In 2016, Fredric finished as the championship runner-up again. He won two rounds that season.

From 2017 to 2018, Fredric drove different Toyota hatchback cars. In 2017, he finished second in the championship. He was driving a Toyota Corolla iM. In 2018, Papadakis Racing introduced a new car. It was the Rockstar Energy Drink / Nexen Tire Toyota Corolla Hatchback. Fredric finished as the championship runner-up once more.

For the fourth year in a row, Fredric finished second in Formula D in 2019.

In 2020, Fredric and Papadakis Racing started using a new car. It was the Toyota GR Supra. This car is super powerful! It has a B58 engine that makes over 1000 horsepower.

Fredric won the Formula D championship again in 2021. He had a podium finish (meaning he placed in the top three) or a win in almost every round.

He won the Formula D championship for the second year in a row in 2022. He had two wins and two podium finishes during that season.

Other Cool Work

Fredric is also a stunt driver! He has done stunt work in the Norwegian action movie Børning. He has also worked on advertisement campaigns for Toyota.

His wife, Hunter Taylor, has also started drifting as a rookie.
