Fredrick Douglas Scott (born September 21, 1984) is an American investor, business advisor, and someone who helps others. He has also written for Entrepreneur magazine. In 2010, Ebony magazine named him one of their "Top 30 Under 30" young people. They said he was the youngest African-American person to start a special type of investment fund.
Early Life and Education
Where Fredrick Grew Up
Fredrick Scott was born in San Bernardino, California. He was the oldest of three children in his family. After finishing high school, he joined the United States Army.
Fredrick's Schooling
Fredrick graduated from San Andreas High School. He later studied at Harvard University through online courses. He also earned special certifications in finance from the Corporate Finance Institute. These certifications helped him learn about financial modeling and capital markets. He also studied Islamic Finance.
Fredrick's Career Journey
Starting in Finance
Fredrick began his career in finance in 2006. He worked as a mortgage banker, helping people get loans for homes. In 2007, he started his own company called FollyCease Financial. However, he closed it down later that year because of a big problem with mortgages in the United States.
Building New Companies
In 2008, Fredrick started another company called Acacia Conglomerate Inc. This company also helped with mortgages and had offices in California and Canada. The next year, he launched ACI Capital Group, which was an investment and advisory firm. After leaving ACI in 2012, Fredrick started The Scott Family Office, Intl. This company helps manage his family's money and investments.

Fredrick's Philanthropy Work
Fredrick is a mentor for several programs that help new businesses and people. He works with groups like the Stand Together Ventures Lab and the Northwestern Mutual Black Founder Accelerator. He also helps with Gener8tor and Defy Ventures.
