Friess Lake is a wonderful lake located in the Village of Richfield. This village is found in Washington County, Wisconsin, in the United States. Friess Lake covers about 121 acres, which is a pretty big area!

It's a great place for outdoor fun, especially for fishing. People enjoy catching fish here. It's also known as a "no-wake" lake. This means boats must go slowly to avoid making large waves. A smaller lake, called Little Friess Lake, is connected to Friess Lake by a narrow channel.

Discovering Friess Lake's Past

The Village of Richfield is home to six different lakes. Friess Lake is the largest of them all. In 2008, the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (DNR) started working to make it easier for people to visit the lake.

The DNR used special funding to build a new boat launch. This launch was created on Little Friess Lake, which is about 15 acres in size. From Little Friess Lake, boaters can easily use the channel to reach the bigger Friess Lake. This made it much simpler for everyone to enjoy the water.
