Fun Time was a super fun Canadian TV show made just for kids! It aired on CBC Television from 1956 to 1957.

What Was Fun Time About?

This exciting show was all about Captain Frank, played by Frank Heron. He sailed around on his special boat, the Fun Time Showboat, with his parrot friend, Matey.

Each episode of Fun Time kicked off with awesome magic tricks by Magic Tom (Tom Auburn). Sometimes, there were cool juggling acts instead!

The show also featured Alan Jack and June Mack. They taught viewers how to play different games. Plus, they joined Captain Frank on fun adventure segments filmed in various places.

A special guest was Elmer the Safety Elephant. He taught kids important lessons about staying safe on the road and near water. The show even had its own band, led by Otto Muller, which played all the music.

Fun Time was a half-hour show. It first aired on Thursdays at 5:30 p.m. (Eastern Time). This was from July 5 to September 27, 1956.

Later, the show moved to Fridays at 5:00 p.m. This new time slot started on October 5, 1956. The very last episode of Fun Time aired on February 1, 1957.
