Gabby Duran & the Unsittables is a fun sci-fi comedy TV show that started on Disney Channel on October 11, 2019. It's based on a book called Gabby Duran and the Unsittables by Elise Allen and Daryle Conners. The series stars Kylie Cantrall as Gabby, along with Maxwell Acee Donovan, Callan Farris, Coco Christo, Valery Ortiz, and Nathan Lovejoy.

What's the Show About?
Gabby Duran always felt like she was in the shadow of her super successful mom and super smart younger sister. But when her family moves to Havensburg, Colorado, Gabby finally gets her chance to shine! She lands a secret job from Principal Swift: babysitting a group of kids who are actually aliens hiding on Earth. These alien kids can be a bit wild, but Gabby is brave and clever. She steps up to protect them and keep their secret safe from everyone else.

- Kylie Cantrall plays Gabby Duran. She's a resourceful and brave 13-year-old girl. She finally gets her moment to be special when she starts babysitting alien kids.
- Maxwell Acee Donovan plays Wesley. He's Gabby's best friend and loves to think about conspiracy theories. He finds out about Gabby's secret babysitting job and helps her keep it hidden.
- Callan Farris plays Jeremy. He's a shape-shifting blob alien from the planet Gor-Monia. Jeremy is Gabby's first alien babysitting job and is even a prince!
- Coco Christo plays Olivia. She's Gabby's younger sister who is very smart and always achieves her goals. Olivia eventually learns about Gabby's secret alien job.
- Valery Ortiz plays Dina. She's Gabby's caring mom who works as a news reporter.
- Nathan Lovejoy plays Principal Swift. He's the principal of Havensburg Junior High. He's also a Gor-Monite alien and Jeremy's uncle! He's the one who hires Gabby to babysit Jeremy and other alien children.

- Laara Sadiq plays Orb. Orb is a special Gor-Monite computer that helps Principal Swift and keeps an eye on Jeremy.
- Kheon Clarke plays Julius. He's a waiter at a restaurant called Luchachos.

How the Show Was Made
Disney Channel decided to make Gabby Duran & the Unsittables into a series on August 3, 2018. The show was filmed in Vancouver, Canada. Mike Alber and Gabe Snyder, who also worked on Kirby Buckets, are the main people in charge of the show. Joe Nussbaum, known for Just Add Magic, is also an executive producer. The first episode was directed by Nzingha Stewart. The show first aired on October 11, 2019. Even before the first episode came out, Disney Channel announced that the show would have a second season!
Episode Highlights
The first season of Gabby Duran & the Unsittables has 19 episodes, each about 24 minutes long. Here are some of the exciting things that happen:
- In the very first episode, "So Your Gor-Monite Child Is Going to Explode," Gabby gets her new, secret job. Her first task is to stop Jeremy, the alien prince, from exploding after he drinks too much soda!
- In "Wesley and the Fischman," Gabby has to choose between her new secret job and her best friend, Wesley. She ends up getting Wesley involved in her alien adventures.
- "Crybaby Duran" introduces Sky, a telepathic alien. Gabby uses Sky's powers to find out who started a rumor about her.
- In "Olivia Gone Wild," Gabby's sister Olivia gets a super-sitter, which leads to a funny competition and some alien candy chaos.
- "It's Christmas, Gabby Duran!" shows Gabby trying to make Christmas special for her sister when their dad's visit is delayed. Jeremy and Wesley try to catch Santa Claus, thinking he's an alien warlord!
- "The Note" is a mystery episode where Gabby and Wesley try to find out who knows Gabby's secret. They discover it's Olivia, who thinks aliens are dangerous until she meets Jeremy.
- The season finale, "Enter the Dranis," is a big adventure! Gabby is tricked into going to Gor-Monia, Jeremy's home planet, where she meets his sister, Dranis. Dranis plans to blow up Havensburg! Gabby, Jeremy, Principal Swift, and even Wesley and Olivia have to work together to save Earth.
