Gail O'Grady was born in Detroit, Michigan, on January 23, 1963. Her parents are Jim and Jan O'Grady. She grew up in Wheaton, Illinois, and finished high school there in 1981.
Before becoming a well-known actress, Gail started her career as a model. She also appeared in several TV commercials. One famous commercial showed her with actor Michael J. Fox. In 1986, she moved to Los Angeles to pursue acting full-time.
Becoming a TV Star
