Patrick Alexander Hall (born November 17, 1973), known by his stage name Gangsta Pat, is an American rapper from Memphis, Tennessee. He became well-known in the Memphis music scene in the late 1980s. His father is Willie Hall, a famous drummer for Stax Records.
Gangsta Pat was one of the first rap artists from Memphis to move from an independent label (a smaller music company) to a major label (a much larger music company). He signed with Atlantic Records, which was a big step in his career. What's even more impressive is that he wrote, produced, and played all the instruments on his early songs himself!
