Gary Beals (born October 25, 1982) is a Canadian singer. He became well-known after being the runner-up in the first season of the TV show Canadian Idol. Gary is from Cherry Brook, Nova Scotia. In 2003, a local newspaper called him the "Best Halifamous Person." The city of Halifax even celebrated "Gary Beals Day" on November 22, 2003, to honor him.
Career
After finishing second on Canadian Idol to Ryan Malcolm, Gary Beals released his first music album. This album, called Gary Beals, came out in August 2004.
His first album was very popular. It reached number 10 on the Canadian album charts. It sold a lot of copies, about 110,000 in total!
Gary released his second album, The Rebirth Of..., on June 9, 2009.
His third studio album, Bleed My Truth, was released on October 23, 2020. The first song from this album was "Me For Me." Gary said this song is about being open and honest. It's about not being afraid to show who you really are to the people you care about.
