Gastón Ugalde (born July 1, 1944 – died October 14, 2023) was a famous artist from Bolivia. Many people called him "the most important living Bolivian artist." Some art experts even called him the "Andean Warhol" because of his creative and unique style.

Gastón Ugalde was born in La Paz, Bolivia. He became well-known for his bold and sometimes surprising art. He explored many different ways to make art. This included painting, photography, collages, and even large art pieces placed in nature (called land-art). He also created prints and installations.

Throughout his long career, Ugalde showed his art all over the world. He had more than 90 solo shows, where only his art was displayed. He also took part in over 100 group exhibitions with other artists. He proudly represented Bolivia at major international art events. These included the Venice Biennale and the São Paulo Biennial.

Gastón Ugalde passed away on October 14, 2023, at the age of 79.
