Movie Story: What Happens in Gaturro?
Gaturro is a playful cat who really wants to win the heart of Agatha, the kitten he loves. But there's a problem: Max, another cat, always seems to get in the way! Agatha is often impressed by Max because he seems to have everything Gaturro doesn't. She even thinks about marrying Max, which makes Gaturro very sad.
Gaturro decides he needs to become famous to impress Agatha. He thinks being on TV is the answer. A TV show is looking for a new superhero cat because their old one, Michou, quit. Gaturro goes to the audition and meets a helpful mouse named Rat Pit. Rat Pit sings to help Gaturro with his problems.
However, Max tries to ruin Gaturro's audition by throwing dog fleas on him. Max doesn't want Gaturro to become famous and impress Agatha. But the TV producer likes Gaturro and hires him to be the new superhero on TV! Gaturro becomes very famous, but his fame means he doesn't have much time for Agatha. This makes Gaturro sad, but Max is super happy about it.
Agatha starts to miss Gaturro too. Max tells her that their wedding will happen soon, but Agatha isn't sure if she still wants to marry him. One day, Gaturro and Agatha are hanging out in the park. But the producer finds Gaturro and takes him to a big company event. There, another cat named Gatalina Yoli kisses Gaturro on the cheek. Agatha sees this and gets upset, so she decides to go ahead with the wedding plans.
Max hides Gaturro's wedding invitation. On the day of the wedding, Gaturro is nominated for the OSCAT Awards! Gaturro asks Rat Pit to bring his collar. Max tries to catch Rat Pit, but Rat Pit escapes and tells Gaturro about Agatha's wedding. Meanwhile, Michou's owner, Mimicha, kidnaps Gaturro because his fame stole Michou's spotlight.
Gaturro's friends come to help him escape. Gaturro and Michou work together to get out of Mimicha's house. They jump onto a tow truck, and Mimicha chases them on a pizza motorcycle, but she can't catch them.
Just as Agatha is about to marry Max, Gaturro arrives and stops the wedding! Gaturro tries to convince Agatha not to marry Max. Agatha is confused, but then she finds out Max hid Gaturro's invitation. Gatalina also shows up and tells everyone that Max paid her to kiss Gaturro. Agatha no longer wants to marry Max.
Max doesn't give up easily. He brings out a giant robot! But Gaturro and his friends work together and manage to destroy the robot's remote control. After Max is defeated, Gatalina's brother takes him away. The next day, Gaturro helps Rat Pit become famous again. Finally, Gaturro asks Agatha if she will accept his love. The movie ends with Gaturro surprised and happy, and Agatha saying, "I hope I don't change my mind tomorrow!"

Animation Process
The way the characters looked and the final touches on the film were handled by Toonz India Ltd in Trivandrum, India. Most of the actual animation work was done by Illusion Studios in Argentina. The cool special effects and backgrounds you see in the movie were created by Ánima Estudios in Mexico.
An animator who worked on the film in 2008 said that there wasn't a full script at the beginning. The animators had to figure out how the movie would look with just a basic story outline. Even though he mentioned some issues with the script, he said the movie looked "Visually correct" for kids.
