General Mosconi, Chubut facts for kids
The General Mosconi neighborhood is a cool place located in Chubut, Argentina. It's about three kilometers (2 miles) north of downtown Comodoro Rivadavia. This neighborhood is named after General Enrique Mosconi, an important figure in Argentina's history. It grew up around the oil industry, which is a big part of its story.

The Oil Museum
The General Mosconi neighborhood developed hand-in-hand with the oil industry. Because of this, the Oil Museum was built here in 1987 by the YPF company. Today, the National University Patagonia San Juan Bosco runs the museum.
The museum is very important because it has a lot of old machinery from the early days of oil drilling. You can also see a copy of the famous Oil Well No. 2. This is where oil was first discovered in Comodoro Rivadavia way back in 1907! It's a great place to learn about how oil changed the region.
