Sir George Frederick Duffey (1843–1903) was an important doctor from Ireland. He became the president of the Royal College of Physicians of Ireland.

His Life and Medical Journey

Sir George Frederick Duffey studied medicine at Trinity College. He became a doctor in 1864. That same year, he joined the Army's medical team. He worked in Malta for a while. While there, he wrote about some health issues he observed.

He helped start the Dublin Biological Club. This was a group for people interested in biology. He also started a magazine called the Irish Hospital Gazette. He was an editor for this magazine. He also worked as an editor for the Dublin Journal of Medical Science.

In 1897, he received a special honor. He was given the title 'Sir' and became a knight.
