George Matthew Johnson (born 1985), known as George M. Johnson, is an American writer, journalist, and activist. They are famous for writing books that share their life experiences. One of their most well-known books is All Boys Aren't Blue.

Early Life and Education
George M. Johnson grew up in New Jersey and later in Virginia. They went to Virginia Union University, which is a historically Black college. They also studied at Bowie State University for their graduate degree.
Writing Career
Johnson's writing has appeared in many popular magazines and websites. These include Teen Vogue, Entertainment Tonight, NBC, The Root, and BuzzFeed.
All Boys Aren't Blue
They became widely known for their book All Boys Aren't Blue, published in 2020. This book is a collection of essays. It shares Johnson's memories of growing up. The book focuses on their experiences as a Black person.
All Boys Aren't Blue received good reviews. It was chosen for YALSA's Teens' Top 10 list. It also made the ALA Rainbow Book List. Kirkus magazine gave it a special positive review. The Root named Johnson one of the "100 Most Influential African Americans in 2020."
