George Wallace Mayo (born December 27, 1893 – died August 1987) was an American baseball player. He played as a first baseman in the Negro Leagues during the 1910s.

George Mayo was born in Morton, Pennsylvania. He was a talented baseball player who played a special role in baseball history. He played during a time when African-American players were not allowed to join Major League Baseball.
Playing in the Negro Leagues
