From Law to Photography

Georges first studied law and earned a special degree called a doctorate. But he soon decided that a legal career wasn't for him. Instead, he chose to follow his passion for photography. He set up a workshop on Rue Salneuve and spent his time doing research in photography. He even published several books and articles about his work, often using the name George Balagny.

Joining Important Societies

He was also honored with a special award called Officier d’Académie from the Order of Academic Palms. This award recognizes people who have done great things in education or culture.

His Personal Life

Berthe was a cousin of someone who used to work for Georges's father. Georges and Berthe had one child, a son named Robert Balagny, who later became a lawyer, just like his father had studied to be.
