Ghana Football Association facts for kids
The Ghana Football Association (GFA) was the main group in charge of football in Ghana. It looked after the sport from 1957 until 2018. The GFA was based in Kumasi.
On June 7, 2018, the Minister of Sport, Isaac Kwame Asiamah, announced that the association was being closed down right away. This happened after some serious issues came to light.
In October 2019, a new president, Kurt Okraku, was chosen for the GFA. Mr. Mark Addo was then elected as the vice president in November 2019.
