Gigi's Music Journey
Starting with Megasztár
In February 2012, Gigi Radics became one of the finalists on Megasztár. This was a popular Hungarian music TV show, similar to Idol. In her first live performance, she sang "Hate That I Love You" and won her round. Gigi did very well each week. She kept performing strongly and eventually won the entire competition! This was a big start to her music career.
Competing in A Dal
A Dal 2013: A Strong Start
On January 10, 2013, Gigi Radics was announced as one of the thirty singers for A Dal 2013. Her song was called "Úgy fáj." She performed in the first heat on February 16, 2013. The judges loved her performance and gave her the most points. This meant she went straight to the semi-finals without needing public votes.
Gigi then competed in the second semi-final on February 24, 2013. She received 42 points from the judges. There was a tie between her and another group, but the judges chose Gigi to move on. She again qualified without needing the public vote. The final of A Dal happened on March 2, 2013. Gigi performed fourth and got the second-highest points from the judges. This allowed her to enter the public voting round. In the end, she placed third overall.
A Dal 2014: Another Try
Gigi Radics decided to try A Dal again! On December 11, 2013, it was announced she would compete in the 2014 show. This time, her song was an English dance-pop track called "Catch Me." She performed in the third heat on February 8, 2014. She didn't get enough points from the judges to qualify directly. However, the public voted for her, and she moved on to the semi-finals.
Gigi performed in the first semi-final on February 15, 2014. Again, the judges didn't give her enough points. This time, the public vote also didn't send her to the finals, and she was eliminated from the competition.
A Dal 2017: Reaching the Final
Gigi returned to A Dal for the 2017 competition with her song See it Through. She performed very well and made it all the way to the final round. This showed her continued dedication to music.
